Welcome to mcp-tidy! This command line interface (CLI) tool helps you visualize and manage your MCP server configurations efficiently. Whether you need to list servers, analyze usage statistics, or clean up unused servers, this tool simplifies these tasks.
To get started with mcp-tidy, follow these steps:

Visit our Releases page to download the tool.

On this page, you will find a list of available versions. Click on the version you want to download.

Look for the appropriate file for your operating system and click on it. This will begin the download.

Once the download is complete, locate the downloaded file.

For Windows users, this will likely be an executable file. Double-click on it to run. Linux and macOS users may need to set executable permissions. You can do this with the command:
chmod +x mcp-tidy

Now, you can run the app from your terminal.
mcp-tidy offers various features to enhance your experience:

List Servers: Easily see all your linked servers.

Usage Statistics: Get insights into the usage of each server, helping you make informed decisions.

Clean-Up Tool: Identify and remove unused server configurations to keep your workspace organized.
To run mcp-tidy smoothly, ensure the following requirements are met:

Operating System: Compatible with Windows, Linux, and macOS.

Memory: At least 512 MB of RAM.

Disk Space: A minimum of 100 MB free space for installation.
After installation, using mcp-tidy is simple. Open your terminal and use the following commands:

List Servers
mcp-tidy listThis command displays all your current servers.

Analyze Server Usage
mcp-tidy stats <server-name>Replace
<server-name>with the name of the server you want to analyze. This will give you detailed statistics. -
Clean Up Unused Servers
mcp-tidy cleanupThis command will prompt you to confirm the removal of unused servers.
