README
recall-ai is a software designed to help you find and use information quickly. It connects with AI tools and keeps your data safe as you explore your knowledge. You do not need any special skills to use it. It works with your documents, notes, or any information you want to keep handy.
This tool uses an approach called Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) combined with Claude AI to provide clear answers. It also supports plugins, so you can add new functions over time. It keeps your code safe in a sandbox and gets up-to-date information in real time.
- Windows 10 or newer (64-bit)
- At least 4 GB of RAM
- 2 GHz dual-core processor or better
- 500 MB free disk space for the app
- Internet connection for some features
You do not need any programming or technical background to run recall-ai. It works on ordinary home or work computers.
Follow these steps to get recall-ai running on your Windows PC.

This link takes you directly to the page where the latest versions are listed.

recall-ai runs code inside a secure sandbox. This means your files and data are protected from outside programs while you use the AI features. Your information stays on your computer and is not shared without your consent.
To get new features or fixes, check the release page regularly:
Download the latest installer and run it over your current version. Your data and settings will stay safe during updates.
If you want a bit more control, recall-ai offers options like:

For most users, these options are not needed.
